Cookie Policy

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device through your browser. It allows a site to recognise the device on a later request, for example to keep a user signed in or to remember a setting. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in a comparable way.

What this website does not do

This website does not use analytics or statistics cookies, advertising or retargeting cookies, advertising pixels, social media cookies or embedded social media content, or third-party cookies of any kind. It does not load externally hosted fonts, videos, maps or chat tools.

Fonts are hosted on the site’s own server. Because no external resources are loaded, your browser does not send requests to third-party providers when you visit this site. No profile of your browsing behaviour is built.

Cookies that may be set

Only strictly necessary, first-party cookies may be set. The list below is complete.

Name Purpose Duration Type
wordpress_logged_in_* Set only when someone signs in to the administration area. Identifies the signed-in account and keeps the session active. Not set for ordinary visitors. Session, or up to 14 days with “remember me” Strictly necessary, first-party
wp-settings-*, wp-settings-time-* Set only for signed-in administrators. Stores display preferences for the administration interface. Not set for ordinary visitors. Up to 1 year Strictly necessary, first-party
ag_notice Records that you have dismissed the cookie information notice, so it is not shown again on every page. Contains no identifier that would allow you to be tracked. 12 months Strictly necessary, first-party

If you never sign in to the administration area, the only cookie that may reach your device is ag_notice.

What this means for consent

Under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive and its national implementations, prior consent is not required for cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user, or that are used for the sole purpose of carrying out a transmission.

The cookies listed above fall into that category: they authenticate a sign-in requested by the user, store administrative interface preferences, or record that an information notice was dismissed. For that reason, no consent banner with accept and reject options is presented. The notice shown at the bottom of the page is informational.

How to manage or delete cookies

You can inspect, block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, usually under privacy or site data settings.

  • Google Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies and Site data
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Cookies and Site Data
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings, then Cookies and site permissions
  • Safari: Settings, then Privacy

Blocking all cookies does not prevent you from reading this website or using the contact form. It may mean that the cookie notice reappears on each page, and it will prevent signing in to the administration area.

If this changes in the future

If analytics, measurement or any other non-essential technology is added to this website at a later date, this policy will be updated and a consent mechanism will be implemented. Such technologies will only be activated after you have given prior, specific and informed consent, and refusing will be as easy as accepting.
